Hey!
Nautical Prep asked me a really long time ago how to make the bows for my ribbon headbands. Sorry for only now posting this.
All you need is some ribbon, less than a foot and a glue gun or needle and thread. The bow looks best if it is the same ribbon as the headband itself or a coordinating solid colour if you used a patterned fabric. I'm gong to show you how to make three stylish and simple bows in three easy steps.
Classic bow
Ribbon lengths: one 5" piece | one 1 1/2" piece

Classic bow
Ribbon lengths: one 5" piece | one 1 1/2" piece
- join the two ends on the 5" piece together to make a loop.
- glue/ sew the middle of the loop down to the joint in ribbon to form two loops with a flat bit in the middle
- glue the 1 1/2" piece around the middle to finish.
Half bow
Ribbon lengths: one 5" piece | one 1 1/2" piece
- fold one end of the 5" piece over pattern side down two thirds the way down and glue/ sew so that you have a loop and a "tail" aproximately the same length.
- wrap the 1 1/2" piece around the joint and glue/ sew.
- finish "tail"
Jazzy classic bow
Ribbon lengths: one 6" piece | one 4" piece | 1 1/2"piece
- Make a classic bow
- glue/ sew (glue is better here) the middle of the bow to the middle of the four inch piece
- finish the ends of the 4" piece
